Voice outcome measures predicted from 1D flow-based reduced-order models agree reasonably well with those from 3D Navier-Stokes-based flow models in left-right symmetric and asymmetric vocal fold conditions (as quantified by the left-right stiffness asymmetry ratio Q in the abscissa). The measures include from the top to bottom the fundamental frequency f0, left-right vocal fold vibration amplitude ratio, left-right phase difference in vocal fold vibration, and maximum flow declination rate (MFDR).
