Impact Factor and CiteScore rankings reflect growth for Acta Acustica

We are pleased to announce that Acta Acustica received an Impact Factor of 1.4 in the 2025 release of Journal Citation Reports™ (JCR), published recently by Clarivate Analytics. This new Impact Factor represents a 40% increase, up from 1 last year.

Acta Acustica, the Journal of the European Acoustics Association (EAA), is firmly establishing itself in the ever-expanding acoustics discipline. It’s 2024 CiteScore (Elsevier) is 3.3, an increase of 17.9% compared to 2023. The journal ranks in several CiteScore categories including Computer Science Applications, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Acoustics and Ultrasonics, and Speech and Hearing, demonstrating the breadth of its impact across multiple disciplines and practical applications. In the Music category, it ranks in the 94th percentile, confirming its position as a leading international publication.

Since January 2025, Acta Acustica has been a fully Diamond Open Access journal, meaning it is fully free to read, publish and reuse, regardless of academic affiliation or geographical limits.
