The gray horizontal lines display the mean level or RGB value of the distribution from which the stimulus components (ten contiguous 117.65-ms Gaussian wideband-noise segments per interval) were drawn in each interval. In this example, the distribution with higher mean (μH) is presented in the second observation interval and the distribution with lower mean (μL) in the first interval.
